Owners Ed and Maribeth Rick welcomed patrons to the new home of the Gin Mill last week when dozens of people gathered to see the renovated restaurant at 26 Washington St. The Ellicottville staple moved to its new location after about five years of preparations. People began lining up outside the front door about half an hour before they were welcomed them in. “We have a ton of people to thank, but I’m not going to get into that because we want to get this party started,” Ed Rick said as everyone raised their cups of champaigne for the toast. Rick thanked all the contractors for their work over the years and all the friends who helped to get everything ready during the final days. “Just look around. It speaks volumes,” he said. “We did it. To the New Gin Mill.”
