Make plans to help polish the Jewel in the Crown of Ellicottville. On Monday May 4 from 9:30 a.m. until noon, volunteers will be removing leaves, twigs, and other debris left by Old Man Winter at the Nannen Arboretum. Trees are budding, perennials are poking through, and Mother Nature needs a little extra help with her spring cleaning. Tools will be available, but if you have a favorite rake or tarp, bring it along. Gloves are suggested.
Water and coffee cake will be served. The Nannen Arboretum Committee looks forward to seeing our many old friends and meeting new volunteers that share a love for nature and the arboretum, our famed Jewel of Ellicottville. The arboretum entrance is adjacent to the new Town Center at 28 Parkside Drive, Ellicottville.
Volunteers are invited to come to any Monday workday at the arboretum throughout the spring, summer and fall. Someone will always be there to direct you.
