The Tuscan Moon Gourmet Cocktail Party is returning to Holiday on Saturday, Aug. 24 at 6 p.m. at John Harvard’s Cabana Bar & Pool Complex.
Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Ellicottville, this is the must-attend party in Ellicottville this summer.
The evening begins with great hors d’oeuvres from Katy’s, John Harvard’s and other great restaurants served by student volunteers from ECS. Additionally this year, students from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford’s Hospitality Program will be helping in the kitchen and at the food stations.
For this year’s musical treat, before and during dinner, you will be entertained by Kristen Smigielski, a vocalist who completed her Master of Music in Voice Performance from the University at Buffalo and is a member the Jazz Buffalo Advisory Council.
Accompanied by pianist Jake Malone-Brancato Kristen puts her own spin on the classic jazz standards, bringing old music to a new generation with a range of music, from jazz and pop to classical and contemporary.
For dinner, an expansive array of entrees provided by are restaurants in the area. Supported by Sysco, Maplevale, Palmer and US Foods, the local chef’s will be trying to impress you with their signature dish served at their individual stations.
This year’s Italian theme menu features many culinary surprises to treat those who attend. A great Antipasto table, a seafood medley from John Harvard’s and seafood lasagna from Myer’s as well as The Silver Fox’s Tuscan smoked pork are just a few of the 15 stations you will enjoy.
You can eat as much as you like but save room for the dessert table where Watson’s Chocolates surround the extra special cakes, cookies and tarts created by chef Tom Kneeland.
Everyone loves the extensive silent auction as there is always a great bargain to be had. The live auction usually features Sabres tickets, Bills tickets, Cutco Knives and more.
Beyond the food and the company, this annual fundraiser supports the many worthwhile local projects and individuals in need supported through Family Support for Ellicottville. Better yet, while you are helping a great cause, your ticket donation is tax deductible.
Remember that this is Ellicottville, so the dress is always casual or come in theme.
Tickets at $65 each and will be available online at www.ellicottvillerotary.com, at EVL Spirits and Katy’s or by calling 699-8758.
