The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) today announced that bridge inspection work is scheduled to occur next week on the S. Cascade Drive Bridge (Old Route 219) over Cattaraugus Creek, in the towns of Concord and Ashford, Erie and Cattaraugus Counties.

Beginning on Monday, Oct. 26, through Thursday, Oct. 29, the S. Cascade Drive Bridge is scheduled to be closed to all traffic from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily. Traffic will be directed to follow a posted detour. Motorists should seek alternate routes and allow for additional travel time.

This work is weather-sensitive and could be delayed in the event of inclement weather.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.  In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver’s license.
