Thank You from Toronto Triumph Club

During the weekend of Aug. 22, 23 and 24, the Toronto Triumph Club came to your area to host their annual weekend away (The Canadian Classic). Our members were wowed! As hosts of this event, we could only wish for the reception the club received.

First, thank you to Brian McFadden from the Chamber of Commerce. Brian did his job with such execution that it made our job so easy! He was able to connect us to the various organizations within town that assisted in making the weekend enjoyable for everyone.

36 small British cars – Triumphs descended on Ellicottville brining 65 people. The area opened their arms to welcome us.

Thank you to the staff of The Wingate hotel for making our accommodations outstanding, to Dominic (and staff) at The Winery of Ellicottville for our tasting, and to Roger (and staff) at The Barn for a delicious meal and also to the local police.

Thank you to the various merchants in town that posted “welcome” signs. Members commented on how nice it was to see the notice. Thank you to the folks who stopped by the parking lot to view our cars and chat with our members. And to the folks who just waved at us — a friendly wave means a lot!

A special thank you to Ellicottville Auto Care for being on call during the weekend! The cars are all well over 40 years old and don’t run as smoothly sometimes as we wish.

Our guests came from across Ontario and NY State. Everyone commented that “they will be back sometime soon to visit.”

We enjoyed working with everyone on this event and from us — thank you does not seem like enough. We look forward to our next visit to town (Fall Festival!).

Cheers! Dawn & Roger Elliott,

Toronto Triumph Club
