Joyful Rescues, a 501c3 not-for-profit organization that matches adoptable dogs and cats with loving homes, is hosting its annual PetFest from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 7 and Saturday, Aug. 8 at Joyful Rescues at 1319 Turock Drive off Jollytown Road in Hinsdale, NY.

The event includes a yard sale with a variety of items, a basket raffle, and a rescue reunion on both days.

On Aug. 8, the event will feature agility demos and training, open roaming of Joyful Rescues pond and property from 10 a.m. until noon, facility tours, a top dog talent contest at noon, a pet/owner lookalike contest at 1p.m., a kids K9 training mini-camp, certified dog trainer demonstrations, vendors, microchipping with lifetime registration from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for $20, a free rabies clinic from noon to 1:30 p.m. and great food with vegetarian options for purchase.

Admission to this family-friendly event is free and pets on leash are welcome. Joyful Rescues is still accepting large item donations in good condition for the yard sale, as well as basket raffle donations, and vendors.

Potential donors or vendors may email for more information.  Monetary donations and donations of leashes, collars, toys and food are also gratefully accepted for the Help the Paws Donation Barrel. All event proceeds benefit Joyful Rescues Veterinary Medical Fund.

Joyful Rescues hosts adoption events every Saturday (except August 8) from 9a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Olean Farmer’s Market located in the Carmike Cinema parking lot, at 1875 Cinema Drive in Allegany, NY.
