It’s here! The long-awaited Summer Music Festival returns to Ellicottville June 30-July 2 and it promises to be full of food, fun, fireworks and of course, lots of music!

On Friday, June 30, kick off the holiday weekend with the first Stroll the Streets of the summer. From 5 to 8 p.m., enjoy live music by Steve Balestri, a stilt walker, juggling, Henna tattoos, and much more.

On Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., enjoy the annual Arts and Crafts Show in the village.  At 11 a.m., don’t miss the Pet Parade, which makes its way from the new Katy’s Cafe to the village gazebo. You can be assured to see dogs, cats, maybe a goat or two. The animals are sure to surprise all in attendance. Have a pet that you’d like to parade? Come out and take part! Everyone in the parade gets a prize!

One of the region’s top keyboardists, Theresa Quinn, will take to the gazebo with her trio as a special part of the annual Ellicottville Gazebo Series. The performance will run from 1 to 4 p.m.

Come evening, head to the slopes of Holiday Valley to catch the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, which will perform patriotic tunes choreographed to fireworks, dance music and some great movie favorites

On Sunday, July 2, the Arts and Crafts Show continues from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Gates at Holiday Valley open at 6 p.m. once again. This time, taking the stage at 7 p.m. will be Carl Dixon, former front man for The Guess Who, April Wine and Coney Hatch.

At 9 p.m., the final performance of the weekend gets under way as The American Band, Grand Funk Railroad, takes to the stage with their five decades of hits ready to go. Most famously known for their tunes, “We’re an American Band,” “Locomotion,” and “I’m Your Captain (Closer to Home),” the band will take the stage for a rock experience like no other.
