There are seven Cattaraugus County towns with supervisor races on Nov. 7 — including a three-way race in Hinsdale.
Mary Ann Powley, who currently serves as a Hinsdale town councilman, is running on the Democrat line; Republican Monroe Bishop is also running on the Independence Party line, and Michael Bushnell is the Conservative Party candidate.
Another area town, Allegany also has a race for supervisor between incumbent John Hare, a Republican, and Democrat James Boser, a former county legislator and town board member. Hare is also listed on the Independence Party line and Boser is also on the Conservative line.
The five other towns with supervisor contests are: Coldspring, Freedom, Lyndon, Napoli and Perrysburg.
Another 12 of the county’s 32 towns have uncontested elections for supervisor. They are: Dayton, East Otto, Farmersville, Ischua, Leon, Mansfield, Olean, Otto, Persia, Red House, Salamanca and South Valley.
Town elections are listed below. For political parties, D denotes Democrat, R is for Republican, C is for Conservative and I is for Independence Party.
