In 2001, Proof won the both a Tony Award for the Best Play on Broadway and a Pulitzer Prize.  It is a beautifully written play about the dynamics of family life, especially caregiving, sibling rivalry, loyalty, and love.  It is funny, dramatic, and poignant–just like real life.  The four characters may be flawed but they are so finely drawn and developed, that you can’t help but like them.  Against the background of the discovery of a brilliant mathematical proof, these four characters evolve, love and clash, eventually finding hope and acceptance.  The production stars Jeff Maris as Robert, Cassie Klahn as Catherine, Cathy Bohan as Claire, and Kris Kielich as Hal and is directed by Tom Durham.

Proof runs on the following dates: May 12, 13, 14, 20, 21 at 8 p.m. and May 15 and 22 at 2 p.m. at the Mongerson Theater at Springville Center for the Arts.

The show is rated PG-13. Tickets are $10 for students and seniors, $12 for general admission, and are available by calling (716) 592-9038 or at for tickets.
