The Ellicottville Chamber of Commerce recently announced that next week from May 27-31 will be Locals Week for the Ellicottville Summer Music Festival.

Residents and employees working or living in the 14731 zip code may purchase up to four tickets for each concert for $20 each at the Chamber office only from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This year, Don Felder, the former lead guitarist of Eagles, and the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra will headline the 2019 festival.

Join us for Independence Day Weekend when the first fairway at Holiday Valley’s Double Black Diamond Golf Course becomes one of the best outdoor concert venues in the region.

Caitlin Koch will take the stage as the opening act on Saturday night, July 6. Koch has graced the festival stage here a number of times before and the organizers are excited to have her back.

Over the years, Koch has shared stages with the likes of Pat Benatar, Grace Potter, Goo Goo Dolls, Gavin DeGraw, Cassadee Pope, The B52’s, Blood Sweat & Tears, Bo Bice, Colt Ford, Danielle Bradbery, Avril Lavigne, Paula Abdul, Derek St. Holmes, Lance Diamond, Lauren Alaina, Brantley Gilbert, Tears for Fears, Matt Giraud, The Scintas, T. Graham Brown and others.

In 2013, Koch signed on with Paula Abdul management at Abdul, INC. and toured with the show “Ballroom With A Twist,” featuring dancers and reality TV stars from “Dancing With The Stars” and singers from “American Idol.”

The main act is no stranger to any stage himself. Don Felder is renowned as a former lead guitarist of Eagles, one of the most popular and influential rock groups of all time.

The band’s record-setting compilation “Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975)” sold over 29 million copies in the United States alone and was awarded by the RIAA the top-selling album of the 20th Century.

Currently, Felder and the Eagles have sold more than 83.5 million albums. A member of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame since 1998, Felder served as a member of Eagles for 27 years, putting his mark on numerous Eagles milestones.

Felder originated the music and co-wrote The Eagles biggest hit — the iconic, award-winning smash “Hotel California”  — along with fan favorites like “Victim of Love” and “Those Shoes.” He became immediately celebrated for his lyrical, signature guitar work on legendary songs like “Hotel California,” “One of These Nights,” “New Kid In Town” and numerous more. “Hotel California” was recently voted the No. 1 best 12 string guitar song in the world by Guitar World magazine.

Felder is a four-time Grammy award winner, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member, New York Times best-selling author, amazing guitarist and captivating performer then and today.

Felder has not only worked with Eagles but also in both sessions and live performances for numerous music legends spanning the musical spectrum, including The Bee Gees, Peter Frampton, Bob Seger, Michael Jackson, Alice Cooper, Kenny Loggins, David Crosby, Graham Nash, Boz Scaggs, Warren Zevon, Joni Mitchell, Stevie Nicks, Vince Gill, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Paul Simon, Diana Ross, Barbra Streisand and Steven Stills.

Then, on Sunday, July 7, the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra will be back for their 26th engagement at the Summer Music Festival. The show, “Beach Vibes,” will feature songs from the Beatles, Billy Joel, Abba, The Beach Boys, Motown and more.

The evening will conclude with “1812 Overture” and “Stars and Stripes Forever” playing to an incredible fireworks display. This is an all ages event, so pack up your picnic basket and bring the whole family. As always, kids 12 and under are free to both concerts.

Discounted presale tickets for all concerts can be purchased in advance to midnight June 23. Prices will increase by $10 on June 23. Order tickets by calling the Chamber of Commerce at 800-349-9099 or email For more information, visit
