Holiday Valley’s President and General Manager announced last week that Allie Doro will become the Co-Director of the Holiday Valley Snowsports School, along with current director, Robert Armour. Doro is a Professional Ski Instructor of America Level III instructor and comes to the snowsports school with a lifetime love of skiing and snowboarding.

Doro and Armour will co-direct the 200-member school, which includes instructors and coaches for the Children’s Ski and Snowboard School, the Adult Ski and Snowboard School, as well the Holiday Valley Race Team, Freestyle Team, Snowboard Team and Master’s Program.

When asked what she hopes to bring to the Holiday Valley Snowsports School, Doro said, “I want to instill the ‘growth mindset’ in the staff. This means that I want to inspire each instructor to grow their own skiing and teaching skills, and also to enable them to create exceptional experiences for every student they teach. I hope to continue with Holiday Valley’s commitment to create a team of appreciated, passionate and well trained staff.” These ideals were the result of her experience as an instructor and trainer at Steamboat Springs and Aspen Ski Company in Colorado.

Originally from Buffalo and Ellicottville, Doro graduated from Ellicottville Central School and Boston University.
