On behalf of the Board of Directors and staff of the Cattaraugus County Arts Council, I’d like to extend a sincere thanks to Holiday Valley Resort for hosting the Routes to Art Holiday Sale this past Saturday at their beautiful new lodge in Ellicottville.

Against the backdrop of the stunning slopes, visitors perused unique artwork from some of the region’s most talented artists, and the new sun-filled lodge proved to be the perfect setting for the event. The Routes to Art program, an annual open-studio tour, highlights the work of fine artists and artisans working in and around the Cattaraugus region, and throughout the past seven years, Holiday Valley has been an outstanding partner in this endeavor. Each year the resort hosts artists during the May open studio weekend and this year was the home of the Holiday Sale, allowing 28 of these artists to gather under one roof to exhibit and sell their work.

Special thanks go to Jane Eshbaugh, Director of Marketing, and Diane Althans, Conference Sales Administrator at Holiday Valley who made the event possible. Our gratitude as well to the fantastic resort facilities staff who were so accommodating and attentive during the entire weekend. The arts council is extremely grateful for our partnership with Holiday Valley as we work together to enhance quality of life in our region.
