The Annual Holiday Valley Ski Patrol Food Drive is just a couple of weeks away and we are again asking for your help. Patrollers will be collecting non-perishable food items, toiletries and/or cash donations on Friday and Saturday at Tops Market and again during the Mardi Gras Parade. The collection times will be 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, March 10 and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 11.

Traditionally, Mardi Gras is the time of one last “feast before the fast.” However, we should be mindful that there are many less fortunate people who are unable to join in these types of festivities. With your generosity, we can fill many boxes with food and other necessary items, as well as money to support the Food Bank’s mission of assisting those in need.

Mardi Gras beads will be given for your donation. And we all know that coming to a Mardi Gras Parade without beads should not happen!

If you can’t make it to Tops Market before 6 p.m. on Saturday, you can still make a donation during the parade. Holiday Valley ski patrollers will be pushing carts on both sides of the street along the parade route collecting canned goods and/or money and handing out beads as a thank you for your generosity.

Ski patrollers have a passion for helping people on and off the hill; please join us and show your compassion by making a donation during Mardi Gras Weekend.

If you have any questions, you can contact me at or (716) 249-1169. Thank you.
