The Ellicottville Little Eagles Football League will be holding a benefit honoring the life of Emery Lafferty on June 21. The event will begin at noon at the Yodeler Lodge at Holiday Valley Resort in Ellicottville, N.Y. Tickets are $10 per person. Children are free.

Emery passed away April 10, 2014, as a result of injuries sustained after being struck by a car. Emery was a young, vibrant 12-year-old boy who touched many lives with his infectious smile and kind heart. There is an endless list of people whose hearts he has touched and lives he has affected. This benefit has been planned to help the family with expenses incurred from the accident.

The organizers, the Ellicottville Little Eagles and Friends & Family of Emery Lafferty, are looking for donations of any type for the benefit, including food items, raffle baskets, raffle items (i.e. jerseys, Keurig coffeemakers, power tools, event tickets, gift certificates, etc.) or monetary donations).

If you would like to make a cash or check donation, please direct it to Emery’s Eagles C/O Ellicottville Little Eagles, P.O. Box 1311, Ellicottville, NY 14731. Please make checks payable to the Ellicottville Little Eagles and put Emery in the memo.

Donations of raffle items can be made from 8 a.m.–4 p.m. at the Inn at Holiday Valley Resort (ask for Katie Karassik DiDonato). If you would like, we can also pick up the donations from you.  Anyone wishing to donate or help with the benefit can contact Todd Palmatier at (716) 244-0964 or Dawn Rowland at (716) 378-3211.
