U21/19/16 athletes traveled to Greek Peak for two Giant Slaloms and the next weekend were at either Bristol Mountain or Gore for two Super G’s. U12/10/8 athletes kicked off their season at Holiday Valley and U14 Athletes traveled to Song and Greek Peak for the next series of Excelsior Cup Racing.

January 20th and 21st Greek Peak:

Day One: Logan Fredrickson (U16) of Holiday Valley continued her success with another 1st place finish. Teammate Lauren Thomas was close on her heels finishing second with only .15 seconds separating the ladies, with Hayly Fredrickson rounding out the podium in 3rd. Holiday Valley’s Rory Sauereisen finished 19th, Amanda Arteaga (HO) 20th, Megan Peters (HO) 24th and Evelyn Polly (HV) 28th. For the U21/19 women, Taylor Hubert (HV) took silver, Katherine Wojnowski (HV) finished with the bronze and Phoebe Dunn (HV) took 15th.

Holiday Valley’s Joshua Allegra (U21/19) finished 4th, Michael Mercer (HV) 8th, Jes Sauereisen (HV) 10th, Nicholas Scott (HO) 13th, William Peters (HO) 21st and Connor Galton (H) 24th. Dalton Potter of Holiday Valley (U16) found himself on the podium with a second-place finish. Will Knauss of HoliMont took 16th, Ross Fuller (HV) 18th, Mitch Azcarate (HV) 21st, Lachlan Deathe (HO) 24th, David Rintoul (HO) 25th, John Smillie (HV) 27th and William Dunn (HV) 31st.

Day Two: Logan Fredrickson and Lauren Thomas of Holiday Valley both walked away with more hardware, finishing 2nd and 3rd, respectively. Caroline DeRose (HV) 4th, Sierra Cappelli (HV) 5th, Hayly Fredrickson 7th, Kate Masliwec (HO) 16th, Rory Sauereisen (HV) 17th, Amanda Arteaga (HO) 22nd, Kate Carter (HO) 25th and Megan Peters (HO) 27th. U21/19 Taylor Hubert (HV) repeated her silver medal finish with Zoe Knauss (HO) taking the bronze medal. Katherine Wojnowski (HV) took 4th and Phoebe Dunn (HV) 15th.

U21/19 Nathan Bridselden of Holiday Valley finished 6th, Maxxon Solly (HO) 8th, Michael Mercer (HV) 9th, Joshua Allegra (HV) 12th, Jes Sauereisen (HV) 16th and Connor Galton (HV) 31st. U16 Will Knauss (HO) finished 16th, Mitch Azcarate (HV) 20th, Ross Fuller (HV) 21st, Lachlan Deathe (HO) 22nd, Alexander Wojnowski (HV) 25th, John Smillie (HV) 38th and William Dunn (HV) 39th.

On Jan. 21, U12/10/8 athletes competed at Holiday Valley.

U12 Girls: HoliMont’s Mia Kerl won the race by 2.23 seconds with teammates Jane Rathbun, Carissa Dunlap and Emmylu Carls in 2nd, 3rd and 4th, respectively. Kaitlyn Turnbull (HO) finished 7th, Molly DeRose (HV) 8th, Sophia Goldberg (HV) 9th, Reese Latta 10th, Lilah Pecora (HO) 11th, Ruby Wiley (HO) 12th and Olivia Cummings 13th.

U12 Boys: Holiday Valley’s Harry Scanlon finished with the silver medal. Maxwell Burget of HoliMont finished with the rose gold in 3rd. Haden Bozek (HO) took 5th, Beaudin Napolitano (HO) 6th, Henry Black (HV) 7th, Alex Gambrell (HO) 8th, Austin Lah (HV) 9th, Gavin Weinstein (HO) 10th, Chase Zumkehr (HO) 11th, Nathan Belza (HO) 13th, Johnathan Scarrow (HO) 14th, Sage Smith (HO) 16th, Christian Lisowsky (HO) 18th and Jack McGeachie (HO) 19th.

U10/8 Girls: Isabella Cummings of HoliMont found herself on top with the gold medal. Eniko Knezic (HO) and Georgia Priestman (HO) rounded out the podium with the silver and bronze. Georgia Hewson (HO) finished 4th, Marlena Pecora (HO) 8th and Sadie Whitbread (HO) 9th.
