Registration for this year’s annual Great Valley Fireman’s Regatta is open. The event will take place May 3–5.

This year’s theme is “Revenge of the Nerds.”

Some people register for the day and just do the canoe trip, but most people register to also camp, showing up Friday and staying until Sunday morning. 

All participants must register via the official website, The trip down the Great Valley Creek is Saturday, May 4.

The camping spots are 20 feet by 30 feet. There is a maximum of four people and two cars per site, or one motorhome or one truck/trailer combo including four people per site. 

The Great Valley Fire Company provides four pit stops along the creek that provide beverages, including beer, pop and water. The third pit stop offers food for purchase from local licensed food vendors.

A shuttle bus is available for participants to be transported back to the camping area. Canoes, kayaks and boats are transported back to the campground, at the canoe drop off area, by the Fire Company staff. 

Registration is $50 per person and $50 per campsite. All participants must be 21 or older and valid ID is required at the event.

Upon ID verification, participants will receive a commemorative mug. A free dinner of chicken or beef is served Saturday afternoon from 5 to 10 p.m. at the Fire Company Clubhouse on Depot Street. 

Groups must register all their participants at the same time if they prefer to camp together. Transfers are not allowed and refunds will not be given.
