May 30-June 1 is shaping up to be a busy and fun weekend at Granny’s Boot Antiques, home of Grevpode Gallery, at 10761 Miller Road in Springville.

The weekend marks their second annual Open House weekend.

The outdoor portion will feature live music, including a Friday evening performance by The Blue Mule Band, and several other local musicians throughout the remainder of the weekend.

Saturday and Sunday will feature demonstrations of Pioneer artisans showcasing their talents in weaving, spinning, blacksmithing, butter making and more.

“Grampa John” will arrive at 11 a.m. on Saturday to chauffeur visitors around in his wagon drawn by his wonderful Fjord ponies.

A charity barbecue featuring burgers and hot dogs, generously donated by local merchants, will be held Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m.- 3 p.m., with proceeds going to the Concord Food Pantry.

Visitors will also enjoy all the great antiques and folk art in the barn., where all main floor merchandise will be 20 percent off, and the lower level will feature items up to 75 percent off.

Granny’s Boot Antiques has been around for over 46 years. Its main location, in Vineland, Ontario, was the winner of the Reader Choice Award 14 straight years. Their blending  of rustic primitive country antiques with all forms of folk and outsider art engages the senses of all that pass through the doors.

Open House hours are Friday 4-8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
