If you’re looking to tee off this spring and summer, look no further than right here in the Enchanted Mountains. With several courses to choose from, you have many excuses to cut out of work early!

Holiday Valley Double Black Diamond

6557 Holiday Valley Road Route 219 PO Box 370 Ellicottville, NY 14731-0370 Phone: 716-699- 2345 www.holidayvalley.com

Holiday Valley is an 18-hole public course, with pars of 70 and 71, which is both challenging and well-maintained. In 2009, Holiday Valley won a nod from Golf Magazine in 2009 for one of the best redesigns in the country.

The course offers a blend of both hilly and flat terrain, with a front nine built around ponds and bunkers, and the back nine laid out around the lower ski slopes, which brings into play many elevation changes.

According to Golf Pro Steve Carney, one of 220 PGA Master Golf Professionals in the United States, this season the course is continuing a project to rebuild six to 10 new bunkers, and to speed up and make the greens more true.

“It’s a challenging course for all abilities because we have four sets of tees and lots of sod bunkers. You pick the tees that best challenge you,” Carney said. “Holiday Valley is one of the most beautiful, and challenging, and quaint little places that there is.”
