This annual event packs a crowd and is highlighted by Saturday’s Mardi Gras parade in the village. The parade is family friendly and full of people dressed in fun costumes — sure to entertain! Those who would like to be in the parade can do so free by filling out an application found at www.ellicottvilleny.com/mardi-gras/.
At Holiday Valley, guests will enjoy face painting and a cookout at Yodeler, a scavenger hunt, a balloon race at Creekside, the Snow Bar, live music and more. On Sunday, Holiday Valley will host its own costume parade, down — where else? — Mardi Gras.
In addition, consider participating in the Holiday Valley Ski Patrol food drive by donating non-perishable food on Friday or Saturday at Tops, in the Holiday Valley Customer Service office or during the downtown Mardi Gras parade on Saturday night. Donated items will stock the Ellicottville Food Pantry.
Of course, the nightlife will be hoppin’ all weekend and a variety of live music will be offered at many of Ellicottville’s fine establishments. Be sure to check out the March 7 edition of the Ellicottville Times for up-to-date entertainment information.
