FLITE Team B Squad traveled to “the other side” this past weekend to Holiday Valley for the Freestyle Extravaganza.

On Saturday, 20 FLITE Team athletes took to challenging Mogul course on Chute. Almost half of the 88 athlete field competed in the F13/M13 age brackets.

Annie Dietrich again led FLITE Females skiing her way to a 2nd place in her age; 3rd overall finish. Sasha MacGregor narrowly missed the top 10 finishing 6th in her age; 11th overall. Sydney Kelsch had a strong day landing 12th in her age; 19th overall. Genevieve Downing and Kathryn Keefe were close behind Sydney, Genevieve landing 13th in her age; 21st overall and Kathryn 2nd in her age; 22nd respectively.

Maeve Margerum, Caitlin Woodrow and Abby Hayes-Vickers finished 26th-28th overall, Maeve 16th in her age, Caitlin 3rd in her age, and Abby 4th in her age. Lizzy Keefe and Kylee Hacker took 2nd and 3rd in their age respectively; 32nd and 34th overall.

The men were led by RJ. Cancilla, who finished 2nd in his age; 5th overall. RJ’s brother, Matthew Cancilla, skied his strong run to 4th in his age; 9th overall. Julian Robertson and Brandon Crotty finished back to back with Julian hitting 6th in his age; 13th overall and Brandon finishing 4th in his age; 14th overall.

Carter Liske had another strong showing in his young freestyle career, finishing 13th in his age; 37th overall. Maddox VanderPloeg (6th in age; 40th overall) Carter Johnston (15th in age; 41st overall) and Vincent DiFrancesco (1st in age; 43rd overall) finished back to back to back. Woody Haggarty and Connor Keefe continues to show good things in the moguls, improving their precious runs to land Woody 16th in his age; 45th overall and Connor 17th in his age; 49th overall.

Many of these athletes are new to competitive moguls, and continue to learn so much every time they step onto the course.

Great Job FLITE Team!
