In a Friday Night Lights Thriller, the Franklinville-Ellicottville Titans beat the Randolph Cardinals in a tight 37-36 victory.

With only two minutes left in the back and forth battle, Griffin Chudy scored on a 48-yard touchdown pass, followed by a Brock Blecha extra point to take the lead for the Titan’s victory. Earlier in the game, two exciting plays from Austin Grinols who returned a 100-yard kickoff, and a 96-yard touchdown run from teammate Blecha helped secure the W.

“This was a great win for our team as we battled a tough opponent on the road.  There are things that we can get better at and will continue to improve, but this was an important win for the season going forward,” said Head Coach Chad Bartoszek.

On Friday, September 30 the Titans take on the #1 team in New York State at 7 p.m. in Ellicottville. ECS will be hosting homecoming activities on the field at half time of the game.
