Due to the State of Emergency issued in Cattaraugus County and the multiple closures of other libraries, schools and other public buildings, the Ellicottville Memorial Library Board of Trustees has decided to close the library through March 31.

At that time, the board will reassess the situation.

This is against our nature, but the library has been presented with a unique situation and we don’t want to encourage vulnerable populations to congregate at the library.

A staff member will be at the library a majority of the time Monday through Friday to answer the phone, and staff are working on ways to still provide some services.

A reminder that with your library card you can access over 17,000 eBooks and eAudiobooks to read or listen on any device. If you need assistance with accessing these materials, please call the library.

Also, the WiFi at the library is always on and can be accessed from a car in the parking lot or on nice days, feel free to sit in an Adirondack chair on our front or back patios. There is an outlet by the front and back doors if you need to power or charge your devices.

Please feel free to call the library with questions or check our website, ellicottvillelibrary.org, for more information.
