LITTLE VALLEY — Cattaraugus County Election Commissioners Sue A. Fries and Kevin C. Burleson announced the Board of Elections will offer extended hours, at its new location, during the two weeks prior to the Nov. 4 General Election.

The central office, located in the former Little Valley Elementary School at 207 Rock City St., Suite 100, will remain open until 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20; Wednesday, Oct. 22; Monday, Oct. 27; and Wednesday, Oct. 29.

Additionally, the office will be open from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 25 and Saturday,

Nov. 1 to accommodate persons who may need to apply for an absentee ballot. Any voter who will be absent from the county due to occupation, education, vacation, has a permanent physical disability or illness that would not allow them to go to the polls Election Day, or is a caregiver for someone who is ill or physically disabled, is eligible to receive an absentee ballot. The last day to apply in person, if previously registered, is Monday, Nov. 3.

Absentee ballot applications are also available by mail or downloading from the Board of Elections website at  Applications must be postmarked no later than Oct. 27.
