Looking to make the most of Easter weekend with your family without traveling far away? Fortunately, there’s lots to do right here in Cattaraugus County, from Easter egg hunts to meeting the Easter Bunny, to delicious Easter dinners for the family. Read on to make your plans for the holiday weekend!

Enjoy Ellicottville’s town-wide egg hunt now through Saturday, April 15! Take part in the Ellicottville Egg-stravaganza by visiting participating stores that have Easter eggs hidden throughout their stores. Each egg has a prize or discount inside! Enjoy giveaways, discounts, prizes and more at the following stores: Adventure Bound on the Fly, Alexandra, Ameri-Can, Ava Grace Fashions, Daff, Gado-Gado, Katy’s Café, Kazoo II, and The Purple Doorknob.

Bring the family to the Ellicottville Village Park for the EVL Volunteer Fire Department’s annual Easter Egg Hunt! The hunt will take place on Saturday, April 15 at 1 p.m. In the event of rain, the egg hunt will be at the fire hall instead, which is located nearby at 2 Lyn Weishan.

The American Legion Auxiliary Post 409 and Women of the Moose Chapter #651 are pleased to host the Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, April 9 at 1:00 p.m. at Gowanda’s American Legion Post 409. The legion, which is located at 100 Legion Drive in Gowanda, invites everyone to attend this free event, where the Easter Bunny will be hopping by—be sure to bring your camera! The afternoon also includes a coloring contest and prizes, and will take place rain or shine (dress accordingly). Although there is no charge to participate in the egg hunt, donations for the Gowanda Food Pantry are gratefully accepted.

Enjoy breakfast with the Easter Bunny on Saturday, April 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sprague’s Maple Farms in Portville! At 1 p.m. sharp, join in the Annual Easter Egg Hunt outside, where over 1,500 eggs are hidden and special prizes awarded. Be sure to bring the camera, as the Easter Bunny and Sprague’s life-size Moose and Bear will be there too! Sprague’s Maple Farms is located at 1048 Route 305 in Portville. Good Times of Olean invites you and your family to enjoy Easter Brunch on Sunday, April 16 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The brunch includes over 25 items and everyone receives an Easter Egg with a surprise inside! Adults eat for $22.99, seniors 65 and older for $15.99, children ages five to ten for $14.99 and children ages 4 and younger eat for free. Call Good Times, which is located at 800 East State Street, at 379-8210 to make your reservations.

Enjoy a full Easter Buffet at the Old Library Restaurant & Inn located at 116 South Union Street in Olean. The buffet includes carved beef, ham and turkey, fruits, desserts, beverages and more. The buffet is $21.95 per person and includes carving station, buffet, dessert, soda, juice and coffee. Call the Old Library at 372-2226 to make reservations.
