The February meeting of the East Otto Town Board was called to order at 7:01 p.m. by Supervisor Ann Rugg on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017.

In Highway business: the town will advertise for bids for a new 550 truck.

There are currently two open positions on the Board of Assessment Review the town will advertise for those positions.

The position of cleaning the town hall is still also available.

Ann asked the board for suggestions for the Justice Grant.

Ann stated that training for the Justice Court Clerk is now mandatory.

Mike Poch stated a resident asked him why a landline phone number wasn’t provided on the recent tax bill. The collector stated that a cell phone number was provided and she felt she was much more accessible with a cell phone.

The board reviewed the Planning Board Survey. Ann stated that the government took broadband money away previously. She will look into seeing if they have put it back in yet. The board is going to ask the

Planning Board for input to enhance what the people are looking for.

Public comment: Bob Bowen stated that Farmersville in Wyoming County is putting windmills up.

The time of town board meetings will change from 7pm to 6pm starting March 14, 2017.
