Design, Delivery and Installation Offered by Longtime Springville Business

Featuring the latest innovative ideas in manufacturing technology for kitchen and bathroom design, Delocon Wholesale Inc. offers a wide selection of bath and kitchen furnishings by providing high quality products and extraordinary customer service.

“I know you might hear it from other outfits, but we really do it all,” said Sherwin Lape, who has owned the business since 1991. “We design, we deliver and we install. Everything we do has the customer in mind because we want them to be completely satisfied.”

Located at 270 West Main St. in the village of Springville, Delocon Wholesale has been providing customers with kitchen and bath products for close to 30 years. Originally opened as a distribution hub that catered to contractors and kitchen and bath dealers, the company has evolved under Lape’s tenure as owner.

“When my associate, Darrell, and I bought the company in the early nineties, we knew that we would have to expand. Delocon started out strictly as a wholesale business, so as time has gone on, we got into the retail aspect of the industry and have developed into what we are today,” said Lape.

Delocon offers a wide variety of products and services to its customers, including cabinets, countertops, sinks, faucets, tile, vanity tops, bathtubs, drains and various kitchen and bath accessories. They also do design and installation work involving custom-made wood and laminate cabinetry, custom countertops, ceramic tile, reception centers, restaurant fixtures, bars, porcelain tile and restroom fixtures.

Delocon prides itself on offering a wide variety of choices for all their customers, with their retail showroom displays providing access and an in-depth glimpse at the latest industry advancements for kitchen and bathroom design.

“We make it clear to every customer that they have a number of options and that it is important for them to tell us exactly what they want,” said Lape. “We take great pride in not pressuring anyone. I encourage customers to take their time, which is why I don’t have any commission-based salespeople hounding them and pushing for a quick sale. That’s not how we work. I want the process to be as stress free and enjoyable as possible.”

The advancements in recent years of kitchen design software and manufacturing technology is mind-boggling, especially when Lape recalls the early days of manufacturing and installation.

“It’s unbelievable how much the technology has changed over the years,” said Lape. “The nice thing is all of the advancements have made it so we can truly be a one-stop shop for any customer who wants a specific project handled that way. From our designers and fabricators to the people we have doing our installation work, we have a top-notch staff that can make it all happen.”

Lape has nothing but great things to say about the Springville area and how the region has supported Delocon over the years.

“I grew up in this area and it’s just a lovely place to live and have a business,” said Lape. “The people of Springville are great. They have a quality work ethic and are really friendly folks.”

Delocon’s 6,200-square-foot showroom is open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Anyone wanting an appointment for a specific time to meet with a designer can call (716) 592-2711. Lape cites his nine hard-working employees as one of the main reasons Delocon has been so successful.

“My people are great and it’s their efforts that help create that word-of-mouth advertising and promotion that keep people coming in,” said Lape. “When someone walks in and tells us how impressed they were with something we did for a family member or friend or neighbor of theirs, it says a lot. It’s something we take great pride in.”
