Bertrand Chaffee Hospital will be the site of WSPQ 1330 AM radio’s “Cookout for a Cause” on Wednesday, July 30 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. This event is part of a series of cookouts that the station does in support of local non-profit organizations.

For $2, the classic hits station in Springville is offering a hot dog and a pop, with proceeds going to benefit Bertrand Chaffee Hospital.

Parents and grandparents who transport children in their vehicles are invited to have their car seats inspected by the Erie County Sheriff’s Department, also from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Technicians will be available to make sure seats are installed properly.

Mercy Flight, which has a helipad at Bertrand Chaffee Hospital, will have representatives on hand, and a landing of one of their helicopters is scheduled depending on weather and availability.
