Cats Lives Are Worth Saving (CLAWS), a local organization, is looking for donations. They have been working for a year now trapping, spaying or neutering stray cats in the village and then releasing them. About 12 cats have been spayed or neutered thus far by Dr. Tim O’Leary of the Almost Home Animal Sanctuary.
The organization is run by Melanie Pritchard, Betsy Peyser & Theresea Mercer. In instances where kittens are trapped, CLAWS will place them in a loving home; I myself actually got my first kitten from the organization.
If you would like to make a donation, you can contact Melanie Pritchard, (716) 480-8409 or Look for them outside of Tangled twigs Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 16 and 17 if you would like to donate in person.
