It doesn’t get much better than classic cars and good, old fashioned rock n’ roll! Sept. 19-21 brings the annual Rock N’ Roll Weekend to Ellicottville, sponsored by the Ellicottville Chamber of Commerce.

“Rock N’ Roll Weekend is a long-standing part of the calendar of events, here in Ellicottville, with the car show approaching two decades,” said Chris Chapman, media and communication coordinator for the Ellicottville Chamber of Commerce. “With 300 classic, antique and unique vehicles parked along Washington and Monroe streets, the event is sure to be a hit with anyone that appreciates motor vehicles of all makes, from all countries and years.”

The classic car show will be held on Sunday, Sept. 21 from 12 to 5 p.m. To sign up for the classic car show and to have your classic car be judged by a panel of experienced car enthusiasts, sign up at

Awards will be given in the following categories: Antique – all stock vehicles up to 1959; classic – all stock vehicles 1960 and up; custom – modified vehicles of any vintage sports cars; sports cars of any vintage; rods of any vintage; trucks, stock and modified trucks of any vintage; and convertibles of any vintage.

Registration fee is $15 if received by Sept. 7 and $20 thereafter. The show is limited to 300 cars and is selling out quickly, so don’t wait to enter!

To complement the total rock n’ roll atmosphere of the car show, a lineup of nonstop entertainment is also planned throughout the weekend.

On Saturday, The Winery of Ellicottville Main Stage on Monroe St. will host Breakaway 2.0, a party and classic rock band, from 1 to 4 p.m.

The fun continues on Sunday.

“To go along with the Rock N’ Roll theme, during the Sunday car show, Terry Buchwald will be doing his tribute to ‘The King,’ Elvis Presley,” Chapman said. “The show will be at the gazebo from 2 until 4:30 p.m.”

Of course, Friday and Saturday nights will also bring in great live music at Ellicottville’s favorite hangouts.

The Gin Mill will set the scene for two great classic rock bands — Live & Kickin’ at 9 p.m. on Friday, and West at 9 p.m. on Saturday.

Balloons will host Lil Ronnie & The Grand Dukes, a blues band that incorporates vintage rock n’ roll, both Friday and Saturday.

The entertainment schedule keeps growing — stay up to date by checking out the Ellicottville Times as the date gets closer.

Rock N’ Roll Weekend promises to be a fun-filled weekend of cool cars and hot music. Mark your calendar so you don’t miss the excitement!
