Ellicottville’s “epic” trails recently made it into the “20 Most Scenic Mt. Bike Trails in Eastern U.S.” voting contest by While our epic trails didn’t make the Top 5 in the voting contest (which took place over the course of only a few days), the area continues to make national waves.

Ellicottville Epic mountain biking trails are certified by the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) and most have been built by local volunteers of the Western New York Mountain Biking Association (WNYMBA).

The fact that our trails are interesting, challenging and super fun is something most of the locals and regular visitors have known for a very long time, but the secret is getting out and Ellicottville couldn’t be happier.

To make your riding experience easier, has a free cell phone app — Singletracks Lite: MTB — compatible with iPhone, iPad and Android devices that is available through Apple iTunes and the Google Play store.

Sign up for a free account to create a ride log, wish lists, download photos, watch videos, and add your own trail and mountain bike reviews.

The app includes mountain bike trail information, gear reviews, trail descriptions, driving directions, trail length and difficulty, and more.

Don’t know where to find nearby trails? The app will find trails within 25 miles of your current location, or search the database of 4,000-plus trails in the U.S. and around the world.

Users keep the app current through check-ins and real-time updates of trail conditions. You can even create your own list of favorite trails.
