Taste of Olean / Art in the Park was a huge success at War Vets Park last year and returns to this beautiful park on Sunday, July 23rd from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. In the heat of the summer everyone appreciates the many mature shade trees and the wide open spaces of War Vets Park. The picnic tables, dining pavilion and playground, along with the artists and food vendors, make this a family-friendly destination for the entire day. This outdoor event attracts over 6,000 people with multiple events occurring at the same time.
This is the 68th year of Art in the Park, a juried exhibit and sale produced by the Cattaraugus County Arts Council (CCAC) to promote the visual arts and the talented artists and artisans in the area. Ribbons will be awarded for the Best In Show, Best New Exhibitor, and Best Presentation artist booths. Artists are encouraged to sign up now to get the “early bird” reduced booth fee of $50. After June 18th the booth fees go up by $20. The final booth registration deadline is July 9, 2017.
Artists should go to the CCAC website, www.myartscouncil.net, to the Events section and then the Art In The Park Artist Guidelines page. There you will find the dates, tent and participation requirements, a link to the application form, and the paypal option to pay the booth fee directly online. If there are questions, please call the CCAC office at 716-372-7455.
Taste of Olean is presented by the Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce (GOACC). Restaurant vendors interested in participating at the event should contact GOACC at 716-372-4433 or by email at email@example.com.
