Once again, the Humphrey Volunteer Fire Company is preparing for their annual Blueberry Day.  It will be held at the fire hall at 4591 Humphrey Road in Humphrey on Saturday, Aug. 10.

Breakfast will be served from 8 to 11:30 a.m. This will consist of all-you-can-eat blueberry pancakes, or plain or chocolate chip if you wish, with real maple syrup, butter, sausage, orange juice, coffee and milk. Cost is $5 per person, children under 5 years old free.

There will be a 50/50 raffle and a blueberry dessert contest to be judged at noon. Everyone that is present can participate in the judging. Blueberry baked goods will be available through the day.

If you would like to be a part of the fire company, you may fill out an application to join on this day. Every volunteer fire company needs more people to join.

All the blueberries are donated by Childs’ Blueberries on Cooper Hill. Come and join in the fun.  For more information, call 207-4874.
