The Salamanca Historical Society will play host to a one-woman, living history performance by Ardyth VanScoy of Limestone, N.Y.

VanScoy will portray the famous Civil War Confederate spy Belle Boyd, who at the tender age of 18 was able to pass critical intelligence to the Confederates. Boyd was imprisoned many times and shared her war experiences through her autobiography.

VanScoy will appear in period clothing and her musical selections will be accompanied by violinist Tanaka VanDruff of Olean, N.Y.

The performance will take place Tuesday, June 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Salamanca Historical Society, 125 Main St. in Salamanca. There is no charge for the performance.
