Whether you’re inside on a rainy day or outside enjoying the glorious sunshine on a local deck or beer garden, there are loads of places to savor a beer and burger.
John Harvard’s Brewery & Ale House, located slopeside inside the Tamarack Club at Holiday Valley resort, serves “Real beer. Honest food.” Choose from a wide variety of craft brews, which rotate seasonally, as well as four Brew House burgers and four gourmet burgers. Dine al fresco or inside the dining room with expansive views of the slopes.
The Gin Mill offers a huge selection of taps serving the freshest draft beer, and their Gin Mill specialty burger is as well known as their establishment. Eight burgers grace their menu, making it hard to choose just one. So come more than once and try them all.
The Barn restaurant, has a special ambience all its own. Located in one of Ellicottville’s most unique historic buildings, The Barn, built in 1895, has seen many uses in its lifetime including a temporary jail, blacksmith shop, stable and a restaurant since 1963. Come enjoy a cold one with a famous Barn burger.
Ellicottville Brewing Co. finished a major renovation and expansion of its brewing facilities and indoor/outdoor dining spaces. If it’s a gorgeous day or evening, head for their outdoor beer garden with shaded tables, an outdoor bar and fire pit, and sample a variety of beer brewed right on the premises. Six burgers, including their signature EBC Brew burger, are a perfect complement to their excellent beer selection.
Tips Up Café offers a stocked bar along with local craft selections in its cozy dining room. Stop for dinner and come hungry. Enjoy one of their generous, melt-in-your mouth burgers or opt for some gourmet pizza, if that’s more your speed.
Dina’s restaurant, located in the heart of the village, offers healthy menu offerings made with fresh, local ingredients. Don’t worry — they do offer a delicious chargrilled burger. Whether you’re relaxing in the upstairs loft or family-friendly street level dining room, hit the spot with a burger and craft beer.
Balloon’s Restaurant and Nightclub has recently expanded and now includes an indoor/outdoor bar and entertainment patio to accommodate all types of weather lovers. Experience their Texan burger accompanied by an icy cold, tall glass of perfectly poured beer.
The Birdwalk, located just a few miles outside of the village. Their antique-filled, charming atmosphere allows you to relax in country style. You could order a burger, but in this joint, you don’t want to miss their wood-fired, brick oven, thin crust pizzas. It’s worth the drive.
Madigan’s newly renovated patio bar will be an outdoor favorite this summer. The bar’s deep Irish roots are evident in their Irish “burger,” a great companion to a tasty Guinness.
On your way to a party and want to bring a unique six-pack of craft brew? Then stop at the Red Apple store next to the Kwik Fill gas station in the village and check out their Beer Cave. Do you have trouble with commitment? No worries. You can mix up your own six-packs to go from local breweries, as well as national craft producers.
Need groceries, too? Then head to Tops Markets in the village for a great beer selection. Grab some fresh burgers and rolls to enjoy on your own grill and call it a cookout.
