How can you go wrong with two nights of beer, wine, good friends and music? The 13th annual Beer and Wine Festival takes place this weekend, Nov. 11 and 12 at Holiday Valley, and is sure to be a rip-roarin’ good time!
“People love beer! Especially millennials, who are becoming more and more interested in craft beers and their many flavors,” said Jane Eshbaugh, Holiday Valley’s marketing director.
Kick off the weekend with Friday night’s Beer and Wine Dinner, starting at 6 p.m. “The Bootleggers Ball,” with a Roaring 20s-Prohibition theme, features several dishes prepared with and paired with unique and special brews. Tickets are $69 for drinks, beer sampling and dinner. For information, call (716) 699-3968. Purchase tickets at ww.holidayvalley.com.
On Saturday, Nov. 12, from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m., head to the Holiday Valley Beer and Wine Festival in HV’s Main Lodge. Live it up with great beers and wines. The festival features 30 craft brewers with over 100 beers and wines from New York State and the region.
Eshbaugh noted that this year’s event will feature, “A few more food vendors – What’s Poppin’ Kettle Corn on the deck, Dom’s Butcher Block with smoked meats and Bavarian Nuts, in addition to our cafeteria offerings (sausage, pretzels, hot dogs, hamburgers, etc.).” Each ticket includes a $5 food voucher to the food court.
Live music will be flowing on all three floors of the lodge. The second floor will feature “Buffalo’s Greatest Party Band,” Hit N Run. Get your dancing shoes on for the Tim Britt Band on the first floor. And get ready to swoon to Michael Nugent’s dreamy voice in the Wine Cellar on the ground floor.
“Beer, music, lots of like-minded people and the fun atmosphere of Ellicottville— it’s a great combination!” said Eshbaugh.
Beer and Wine Festival tickets are $55 through Nov. 11 and $60 at the door (if available), and are on sale at www.holidayvalley.com and at Wegmans stores. You must be 21 to purchase a ticket and also to attend the festival.
