An exceptional collection of paintings is now on exhibit at the Ellicottville Memorial Library.

Leigh Ann Cledgett is an illustrator from Hinsdale, N.Y., recently graduated from college, and already making her mark as a book illustrator.

A reception for the artist is Friday, Nov. 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the library. All are welcome, and Ms. Cledgett will give a talk about her exhibition at 7 p.m.

These 10 paintings illustrate some of the pivotal moments in her grandmother’s life, when decisions were tough and obstacles were high. The common theme that echoes through her grandma’s life: never, ever give up.

The Ellicottville Memorial Library is located at 6499 Maples Road in Ellicottville. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily except Sunday. Evening hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.
