The all new Night Lights at Ellicottville’s Nannen Arboretum event, opening May 15, is would like to host and feature a select number of artists during the light show that will take over the beautiful park-like arboretum for three consecutive weekends through Memorial Day.

For each night of the show, organizers are looking for two artists who want to create and display their art. Organizers want Night Lights attendees to see artists creating live work, which they hope will add another level of interaction between artists and guests. They are also looking for recorded classical music from local artists.

In the end, organizers are big believers in engaging local artists to help give our local talent a platform to promote themselves.

Night Lights will run May 15–17, May 22–25, and May 29–31. Show hours are 7:30–10 p.m. Artists will be provided with a pop-up tent (already set up), a power cord and light (you may want to bring additional lighting), and a table. The artist will be allowed to bring in one free guest.

While organizers would like the artists to create work at Night Lights, they strongly encourage sale of works/crafts. Organizers expect 100–300 people in attendance each night. Tents will be located about 50 yards from the parking lot, and you will have to carry your supplies/works to the tents.

Due to electrical power considerations, the show cannot accommodate artist tools that draw a lot of power. Check with show organizers.

Artists are encouraged to promote themselves, distribute business cards, brochures … build their audience. Each artist will be promoted on the Night Lights website and social media channels.

If you are interested in participating, contact Doug Sitler at or (716) 984-7595. Artists will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
