Art in the Park/Taste of Olean will have a new location for 2016. The Art in the Park/Taste of Olean committee responded to concerns expressed over construction on North Union, which would make the location of Jamestown Community College Campus less convenient for the public, as well as for the participating artists and restaurant vendors. As a result, the event will be held at War Vets Park, at the corner of Front and East State Streets across from Bradner Stadium  in Olean. The event will be on Sunday, July 24, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The public, artists and food vendors will appreciate the many mature shade trees and the wide open spaces of this beautiful park. Picnic tables, the dining pavilion, playgrounds and a pool, along with the artists and food vendors make this a family-friendly destination to spend the entire day. It’s not too soon to put the date on your calendar and make plans for a tasty, art-filled summer day.

Artists are encouraged to sign up early to get the “early bird” booth fee. After June 19, the booth fees go up by $20. The final booth registration deadline is July 10. Artists should go to the Cattaraugus County Arts Council (CCAC) website,, to the Events section and then the Art In The Park Artist Guidelines page. There you will find the dates, tent and participation requirements, a link to the application form, and the Paypal option to pay the booth fee directly online. If there are questions, please call the CCAC office (716) 372-7455.

Restaurant vendors interested in participating at the event should contact the Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce at (716) 372-4433 or by email at
