The Nannen Arboretum will be celebrating Arbor Day on Friday, April 28, 2017 at the Town Center Auditorium at 11 a.m.

Town of Ellicottville Supervisor, Matt McAndrew, and Village of Ellicottville Mayor, John Burrell, will make a proclamation declaring April 28, 2017 as Arbor Day in Ellicottville.

A tree will be planted by the Nannen Arboretum Society and the Tree City USA flag will be raised. Speakers Dave Paradowski and Wayne Kurlish will discuss invasive species and climate change.

The Volunteer of the Year Award will also be presented. Refreshments will be available after the ceremony in the Town Center auditorium. Please RSVP Maggie Smith at

The Nannen Arboretum Society is a not-for- profit, volunteer based organization dedicated to providing home garden and natural resource education and an opportunity for nature appreciation and leisure.
