The annual Home Show is brimming with practical ideas, real solutions and a host of applicable ideas to take home. Show goers can talk to a number of area experts and learn about construction, decorating trends, accessories, cabinets, appliances and more — all in one place.

This year, the committee will dedicate show space to bring demonstrations and seminars back on the show floor. To highlight the event, National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) will present two “Do-It-Yourself” seminars. Chris Zizza of Westwood, Mass., will be presenting on behalf of NWFA, a not-for-profit trade association representing all segments of the hardwood flooring industry, from manufacturers, to distributors, to retailers, to installers. They provide training and resources for to DIYs and wood flooring pros to ensure that you get high quality flooring that will last a lifetime. The two seminars are both on Saturday, April 12: Wood Flooring 101 at 12:30 p.m. and Bamboo, Cork and Hardwood as a Flooring Material at 4 p.m.

Shanna Miller-Clark will also present two seminars: Flower Combinations with Wow! — learn how to combine plant colors, textures and heights for beautiful containers and landscapes; and Getting Your Kids into Gardening — a session packed with tips and tricks for parents and grandparents on how to get kids involved with gardening. Ms. Miller-Clark of Miller’s Farm Market is a graduate of the Ohio State University ATI, and a lifelong gardening enthusiast. As a child, she grew up working at Miller’s Farm Market and after college pursued a career at a large Proven Winners® greenhouse in southeast Michigan for 10 years. She recently has moved back to WNY with her family and is again working at the family business on East State Street in Olean.

More than 70 of the area’s leading businesses are expected to exhibit their wares and services at the show, scheduled from Friday, April 11 through Sunday, April 13 at the William O. Smith Recreation Center, 551 East State St. in Olean, across from Bradner’s Stadium. Hours are Friday, 5–9 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m.; and Sunday, 10 a.m.–4 p.m.

The demos and seminars are not limited to the inside! 6V Sales and Service out of Bradford will be the show’s official ATV demo sponsor. Show goers will be able to test out their Husqvarna Motorcycles, Arctic Cat ATVs and Side by Sides and their new 50” wide machines, the Wildcat Trail. Licensed drivers are eligible to demo. 6V Sales and Service will also be displaying the 2015 Arctic Cat Snowmobiles to go with their “Sneak Peak 2015” Snowmobile Sale, Husqvarna Motorcycles and Genuine Scooters.
