The Allegany Area Historical Association will be sponsoring two holiday events in early December.

On Saturday, Dec. 6, enjoy a Christmas cookie sale from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Nature’s Remedy, 120 West Main Street in Allegany.  There will be plates of assorted dozen cookies, as well as various holiday favorites sold in single servings. Do your Christmas baking the easy way by coming to the cookie sale!

On Sunday, Dec. 7, a Community Christmas Service will be held at 2 p.m. at the Heritage Center, 25 North Second Street in Allegany.  Fr. James Vacco, O.F.M., pastor of St. Bonaventure Parish, will conduct the service. At the service, money, canned goods and paper products will be collected to benefit Genesis House, a homeless shelter in Olean.  The public is invited to attend.
