Has it been a while since you last took to the stage? Has it been calling you? Springville Center for the Arts will be offering two informal group-learning workshops, perfect for those who need some time to brush up on their skills or for those who like to perform.

Actor workshops will meet Saturdays, Feb. 11 and 18, and March 4 and 18 from 9 – 11 a.m.

Actors meet to hone their craft using material from Death of a Salesman. The program begins with a read-through and includes analysis of scenes, character analysis, a chance to try a variety of roles and feedback from peers. This is a free workshop designed to give actors of a variety of skill levels a chance to keep their acting muscle fit.

Musical Theater workshops will meet Tuesdays, Feb. 7 and28, and March 14 and 28 from 7-9 p.m. Using South Pacific as the raw material, singers with varying levels of experience will practice solo and in groups. This program costs $20 for all four sessions, and features accompanist Istvan Hernek.

Both workshops will meet at Springville Center for the Arts, 37 N. Buffalo St., Springville. Call (716) 592-9038 to register.
