Western New Yorkers like their beer. And their wine. And what better place to meet up with friends to enjoy both than Ellicottville? Beer, wine, food, friends, fun. It’s all here.

Holiday Valley, EBC and Southern Tier Brewery will host the 11th Annual Beer and Wine Festival on Nov. 8, from 3:30–7:30 p.m. and the Holiday Valley Lodge.

“If you enjoy a beer and wine tasting experience, this is the event for you,” said Kristen Sciara, Holiday Valley’s assistant director of marketing. “We have brewers from Sierra Nevada, Magic Hat, Great Lakes, Erie Brewing, Saranac, Southern Tier, Ellicottville Brewing, John Harvard’s, Ithaca, Rohrbach, Woodchuck, CB Craft Brewers, Butternuts, Original Sin Cider, Harpoon, Voodoo, Smutty Nose, Long Trail, Hebrew and Otter Creek … plus many more! Several New York wineries will be at the festival including the Winery of Ellicottville, Merritt Estate Winery, Niagara Winery, Willow Creek Winery, Glenora Wine Cellars, Vendiff Vineyard, Victoriaberg Vineyard, Casa Larga Vineyards, Montezuma Winery and Heron Hill Winery.”

Tickets to Saturday’s event are $50 pre-sale through Oct. 31 and $60 starting Nov. 1. Ticket price also includes a tasting glass and a $5 food voucher.

“Guests will be able to sample over 100 hand-crafted beers from over 30 of the best New York state and American craft breweries and wines from New York, Southern Ontario and Ellicottville vintners,” explained Sciara. “Once again, there will be live music by Big Leg Emma.”

Although the menu is still in the planning stages, there will be lots of delicious fare to sample as you wash it down with an array of delicious beverages.

And just what can people expect from the event?

“Lots of fun!” said Sciara. “They can make the event a weekend with the Cirque de Biere beer pairing dinner on Friday night and then the Beer and Wine Festival on Saturday.”

The Cirque de Biere Friday Night Dinner marks the seventh annual beer and food pairing event on Nov. 7. Locally sourced cuisine will be paired with nationally recognized craft beers, and brew masters will be on hand to “meet and greet,” discussing each beer and explaining the pairing process. This event will be held at Holiday Valley’s Tannenbaum Lodge starting at 6 p.m. Tickets for the Cirque de Biere are $65 per person.

Tickets for the weekend’s events are limited, so be sure to get yours early before they sell out!

The Cirque de Biere dinner and the Beer and Wine Festival are two fun-filled events that are sure to be the highlight of the pre-ski season. Book one of the many lodging packages available and spend the weekend enjoying all the resort and village have to offer!
